Yes first and foremost I did it because I was an enemy cabal of his. Scions and Empire are not friendly, the fact of the matter was that if he did not know I was Scion already he would soon find out when I went to retrieve which I would more than likely have to do considering our low numbers and Empire was in power at the time. I used him for the Paladin and then killed him because I would not have probably had a better opportunity to take advantage of that situation. Thieves are all about being an opportunist, and overall it is fun as hell surprising the crap out of your enemy.
