What that does

I am not sure of all the things that factor into the "blood spurt" effect, but I am pretty sure these elements are a part of them:

1) It has to be from a bladed weapon - the heavier the better. Slice, cleave, etc. may be important. Axes and polearms are best.
2) Strength is important.
3) It is most likely to happen from attacks that boost damage (I believe pincer has a small multiplier effect on its damage, for example).

That could all be crap...I don't know. Just what I (think) I've observed.

The result of the "blood spurt" is a puddle of blood on the ground. This is most often never useful. However, you can sense magic in the blood and, if I recall correctly, alignment.

Hope that helps.

P.S. Don't worry about it. It's flaire.

jmc 302 April 30, 2008 12:01PM

Armin 439 April 29, 2008 03:09PM

BattleCharmed 346 April 29, 2008 05:39PM

Mek 346 April 29, 2008 08:29PM

Kamuela 308 April 29, 2008 03:30PM

odrirg 419 April 29, 2008 11:50PM

Not that you would know balance if someone beat you todeath with it n/t

Guy 296 April 30, 2008 01:06AM

FWIW: Daggers = dexy races. Axe = easy to dodge. ~

_Magus_ 340 April 29, 2008 03:59PM

I wouldn't class axe as the easiest weapon to dodge logically

Guy 373 April 29, 2008 07:34PM

I think we need an anti-dodge/evade legacy that works better with high str and axes. ~

Krilcov 280 April 29, 2008 06:40PM

I think mercy of the typhoon should treat evade like flee nt

pintose 332 April 29, 2008 06:50PM

Or better yet, just tone down dodge. ~

Krilcov 286 April 29, 2008 06:43PM

If I remember correctly, he was berserked too.
