leading north to an iron door with slats.  Lit by a lone torch ensconced in

streams through from beyond the door and specks of dust dance lazily in the 
beams before floating down around your feet.  A whetstone sits off to the 
side beside a small stone alcove with a non-specific holy symbol emblazoned 
inside.  You may sharpen your weapon or give praise to whichever deity you 
please before stepping north into the arena.  Prepare yourself, for battle

  Deep red sands swirl around pale yellow boulders. Huge tan dunes
and shallow valleys seem never ending as you walk through the shifting
sands that seem to mark this vast desert. You are almost overwhelmed as
you look around you it's as if the desert itself was trying to remind you
of how insignificant you really are. The land seems somehow majestic and
peaceful at the same time it's cruel and violent. The terrain to the east
becomes extremely rocky as it approaches an ancient mountain range.

Something seems horribly wrong with the plant life here.

  You stand before an impressive gold altar.  The tallest candelabra are so
tall they hardly cast any light down on the main part of the altar; they
only serve to highlight the highest reaches of the altar.  Fortunately, there
are more candelabra lower down, which, along with the light coming through
the stained glass window, provide enough light to see the full magnificence
of this altar.  You can exit the temple to the east, the temple continues
to the north and small rooms open to the south and west.  A small staircase
descends towards the Academy's entrance.

Southern Courtyard
  This courtyard is a continuation of the temple square to the north.  The
smooth cobblestones bear testimony to the multitudes of people that have
passed through here.  This end of the courtyard is used by the priests of
this temple to help the poor and hungry.  Thanks to the generous donations
of the patrons of the Temple of the Sun, the homeless of Galadon never
need fear going hungry or without a place to sleep.  To the west you can 
go into the temple and a small doorway leads south.

  This peaceful square lies in the shadows of what most call the most
beautiful Temple in the world, the Temple of the Sun.  A bubbling fountain
surrounded by some shady trees graces the center of the courtyard.  To the
north lies the lovely park of Galadon, to the east lies the High Road, to
the west you can enter the Temple, and to the south the courtyard continues.

  This broad, cobblestone avenue has a strip of land covered with flowers
running down the middle of it.  Here, it passes by the majestic Temple of
the Sun to the west on its way toward the park to the north.  The High Road
continues toward the Market Square to the south.

The Tribunal Courtyard
  You are standing in a brick walled courtyard.  The massive shadow of the
Spire rises up immediately to the east, while a path leads west toward
Galadon.  Benches line the walls all the way around the courtyard at regular
intervals, but the plaza is dominated by a huge stone pedestal in the middle.
Several torches are mounted around the pedestal, bathing a massive metal 
statue mounted upon it in flickering torch light.  It appears to be a woman 
in flowing robes, her head tilted up toward the sky and a blindfold covering
