Well, I'm not Shapa but here my two cents. Why not just wait for gator to bite you? He would get three or four rounds of lag(not sure on exact number, still lag is huge) and all that time you and destructor are raping him and he can't redirect. Then acording to situation you flee/return wait for more bite or dirt him or finish the scum:)
