I miscounted my run to the village, was then going to enter via door number two or three, and then Cyrn woke up out of nowhere. I panicked because I knew he would blind me, I wouldn't be able to hit him, and I knew Ilix was on my tail.

The only time I was able to fight a Cyrn off, I think he had attacked me slowed. I didn't have the hitpoints to get him maladicted around mongoose dodge nor enough attacks to outdamage him, and I couldn't get Luggbok-calibre deathblows that would have helped even things.
