But PK when the old liches were around is a lot different than now. That is exactly why the changes, that I know nothing about, to phylacteries was made. There were a lot more badasses in terms of PK back in the day than there are now. We can explore that subject if you'd like, but ultimately CF as a PK environment is so much more pussy NOW than it was back THEN.
To define that, look at the amount of whining at looting. Everyone will say, WarEagle, whining always happened. But from what I remember of the old days, it wasn't to the point that it is now. Nowadays, you die and you EXPECT 75 percent of your gear, or the other guy is griefing. Back THEN, you didn't expect shit. It wasn't about preserving playerbase, it was what this game is all about.
Low and behold, now you got the majority of characters tip-toeing around everything. Everytime I see some Rager propose to a Mage a duel, a part of my CF heart dies. Everytime I see a War Master do what Kostyan would do(begging for a one-on-one fight when his skillset/powers are superior aka calling duels as enemy to enemy is stupid 99% of the time), a part of my CF heart dies. Everytime I see someone loot two/three things, only one of which they actually use(two they just like the f'ing loot) and the victim cries foul, a part of my CF heart dies[looting like that is okay]
Enough is enough. CF isn't dying because of the IMM's, it's dying because the thrill of the game is dying.
Not all of this message is directed at you as your character. It's more of just about the PAST versus the PRESENT.
