I'm 28. I've been playing CF since I was 18. Back in the day, I could have easily done 14 hours per day and come back for more. That was fun and exciting back then.
I'm older and have more of a life. I have a wife, I'm starting up college classes, I've got a full-time job, and we want to have kids eventually. If I want to casually play a game within the bounds of the rules, why can't I do it without getting hassled? There are plenty of mobs with short "full descriptions", so why does a player have to be different? Regardless of that, the description length is subjective. If I were an annoying assbag in game otherwise, I could understand the "extra attention". Instead, they pulled me aside. I was already annoyed by a previous imm encounter, so this was the last straw for me. To add insult to injury, I asked to be transferred to another room so I could delete. Rather than accommodate the reasonable request of a player, the cloaked imm decided to be a dick, which is why I was a dick back to him. So, it took six months to stomach rolling a character again. This left a really sour taste in my mouth and I can find other ways to entertain myself that are less frustrating.
There's a deeper problem here that no one seems to want to address: What the exact role of the imms are. Should they be such micromanaging fascists that anyone who plays the game in a way they don't like gets pulled aside and told to change? Does pulling me aside create a better gaming environment if two lines were added to my description? Have you ever played a game where this kind of bullshit occurred and was even defended by players like Briartangle (who is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, I guess)? I'll be the first to admit that I can be a total prick, but I didn't break character or role (not added yet, but written down at work). I stood up to what I didn't agree with and posted the result here. Tell me my penis is small or whatever you want. I can take it. Just when they get bored and pick on you, either be a pussy, bend over and take it, or stand up to them, spread the info, and force them to either change their behavior or risk bleeding player numbers. Whatever, dudes.
