You can always do a test of it

Get a warrior with boneshatter, preferably hero with boneshatter at 100%. Then spam 200 boneshatters on the same mob with the heavy mace. Spam 200 boneshatters on the same mob with the light mace. Get the proportion of successes (let's call it p). If you've learnt Statistics, you'll know what to do from here... you can get the sample variance from p(1-p)/n, sample standard deviation from the square root of the sample variance. Repeat the sample variance for the other proportion (light mace successes), and call it q or something. Then set up a difference of means, p - q, and get the difference standard error with square root of (sample variance of heavy mace divided by 200 plus sample variance of light mace divided by 200). Use the standard error of the mean difference and then perform a hypothesis test of null hypothesis difference = 0, alternative hypothesis not equals 0, and see if you can reject the null at some significance level (5% is usually used).

Could someone who knows stats who has a hero mace spec test this?

Wicked victory. Only thing I can comment on is using heavier weapons for boneshatter. Heavy mace = better success with boneshatter. n/t

This entire subthread is ridiculous. Reality makes no difference. The code in the fake world says weapon weight is irrelevant. End of discussion. (n/t)

I'm about 99% certain it is a variable.

God, I hated statistics... You make my brain hurt, sir. :) nt

How much do you want to bet you're just making this up? (n/t)

Wrong once again~ (n/t)

TripHitNdip 195 May 12, 2012 09:42AM

Highly doubt it.

RobDarken 279 May 12, 2012 04:59AM

You did one mino mace for how long exactly? My findings are the opposite.

Jerrokrar 256 May 12, 2012 05:13PM

PK success has no bearing.

RobDarken 207 May 13, 2012 05:40AM

Lol you said success so it's funny.

TripHitNdip 338 May 12, 2012 07:27PM

Why would a heavier mace have better success at boneshatter? To the OP, it doesn't. (n/t)

funnyone 227 May 12, 2012 04:56AM

From what I witnessed on my mace spec, I saw that weight affected it.

Jerrokrar 204 May 12, 2012 05:10PM

Not saying it matters or it doesn't, but from a realism standpoint, it's sure easier to shatter bones with a 30 lb sledgehammer than a 1lb baton (n/t)

ExPaladin(VIP) 187 May 12, 2012 05:29AM

You ever hit anyone with a baton? Its pretty easy to crush someones face bones with just 1 pound. (n/t)

xrajck 182 May 12, 2012 08:52AM

Not really. You are going to swing a 30 pound sledge hammer faster than a light mace? (n/t)

funnyone 256 May 12, 2012 06:49AM

Speed doesn't really have much to do with breaking bones...

qurdind 250 May 12, 2012 08:32AM

Is a wiffle ball bat a mace? No, it's not. (n/t)

They aren't.

You'll find a surprise elven mace inside the burger while you eat.
