It's also a bit easier for the less deathful classes. For example, people won't hold an elven ranger hunter to the same standard they would hold a storm giant warrior - for the storm giant, you'd have to be pretty terrible or pretty bored (i.e. no evils around) to not get to veteran within 200 hours - I'd think very little of you if I were a fort leader at that point.

For the elf hunter I'm going to be impressed if he has more than 2 PKs in 200 hours - that's a hard fucking combo to play and one with almost zero kill potential.

As always, maran is much rarer for characters with no presence. That means if you only jump on once or twice a month, if you are never around during big cabal social things like raids, explores, drunken tea parties in the inn - you're going to have a tough time no matter how competent you are at PK.
