I had Ward and STSF. Yeah, I was going to comment about being elf on my death thread in the battlefield. I (probably obviously) was the one petitioning Umiron to give elf hand specs swiftstrike. I should have read the help file before rolling because there is no way I would have rolled elf hand spec otherwise. It really was the tie breaker for me when choosing which elf race to play. I would have gone for the higher dex on wood-elf or drow and not have had to deal with the goodie rager stuff. It's difficult. The idiotic part is I've played 2 elf hand specs in the past, but, they were secondary specs and years ago. I honestly didn't think or remember whether swiftstrike had worked or not. I just assumed it always did.
By the way, it was Xeneth that kind of inspired this character. Everytime I fought you with Magner you had so many sexy pummels I just had to try it for myself. Elf pummel definitely didn't disappoint but from what Zulg said along time ago about it being based on skill %, str & dex, I'll bet I would have been even more pleased with a 24 dex elf race.
Goodie rager has such an interesting dichotomy. It really is contradicting and hard to have a foot in both worlds. If you kill good mages you will be turned neutral. If you don't you are going against Village dogma and could get punished. I just tried to take the old military don't ask don't tell position, where if you were a good mage and didn't give me a reason, I would mostly leave you alone. There were a few times I did kill a good mage, but, I did not know they were at the time.
As for the Blade, I did not need it, not being a sword spec. I did have the helm that Molqui gave me which was really cool to have. I really wanted to go gather the belt but I couldn't do it alone and never had a chance to get a group together to do it, whether it was for lack of time or the group. I think Hirleu has the blade now.
