and it's all gone downhill from then on. I deleted a new char (the first in more than a year)
recently that I played for a total of 10 hours by myself pretty much. All the people I used
to play the game and have fun with have also stopped playing, most for similar reasons.

The atmosphere in the MUD due to low numbers and absence of regulars
made it feel as if I was playing a different game.

Congrats Umiron & co, you did what: Rampant immortal cheating of the worst kind,
years of Nep & Ray, players cheating in every way imaginable, OOC groups sharing
every bit of information that could be shared (hell spreadsheets, walkthroughs for
all area explores, prep lists, wand lists, quest lists, gear lists), OOC coordination of the worst
kind, people logging in alts to act as scouts, people multicharing over VPNs,
multiple secret forums, IRC channels and IM *did not manage to do* and that is kill the game!
