Someone steered you. And that clued you in and allowed you to understand the cabal and get inducted. That fact alone should be all that you need to hear.

No one is steering the current players in-game. THAT is the problem. And until someone solves that problem, people can (and should) be blaming the administrators for abandoning that cabal its applicants, rather than steering them in the right direction.
