Exactly, assassins are awesome fun in straight up PK.

Sure some race/class combos will be too tough for you 1v1 (or at least too tough to kill) at which point assassinate comes in handy, but I was surprised how easy it was to kill with my assassin in a head on fight. Everyone likes to fight them and won't flee early which means lots of fun and intense fights.
