A question for anybody in the US about cellphone companies

August 07, 2013 04:13PM
So on the radio lately there's been a ton of stuff about some big cellphone companies from the US moving into Canada. They're all against it claiming there will be job losses and other unsavory things. My assumption is that the cellphone companies here are charging up the arse, and stand to lose a ton of business to a cheaper, bigger, company. So my question to you guys is what do you generally pay for cellphone usage monthly, and what kind of data and calling can you get?

Right now I'm paying something like 40-50 bucks for a couple hundred minutes of calling, a "five friends" deal where I can call/receive to 5 people unlimited, and a super low data.

EDIT I'm in Canada btw
