Secular arguments against gay marriage.

vortexmagus October 11, 2013 03:36PM

It's not the marriage laws itself, it's the other laws built around marriage laws

Rade October 15, 2013 04:34AM

As I understand it, there are ways for gay couples to raise children as well.

vortexmagus October 17, 2013 10:09AM

Oh yes, the world will surely fail and we will all be burninated for not typing an extraneous "m." (n/t)

vortexmagus October 13, 2013 06:34PM

Thank you, I was hoping someone would. Appreciate the SILE. (n/t)

Matrik October 13, 2013 06:35PM

As a omen of that which is to come, the M nurtures order amid the entropy.

PaulO October 13, 2013 06:01PM

That's awesome. (n/t)

Matrik October 13, 2013 06:13PM

No need to marry, since they've likely already exchanged rims? I mean "rings", not rims. (n/t)

Doof October 13, 2013 04:48AM

All the arguments have pretty much been made.

Batman October 13, 2013 03:54AM

Polygamy is usually a bigger problem for the generational economic imbalances it creates, all faux ethics aside.

Scrimbul October 13, 2013 02:45AM

The problem is how people view marriage.

zannon October 12, 2013 05:11AM

I don't think the issue at hand is really whether marriage is worthwhile or not

vortexmagus October 12, 2013 05:42AM

You won't.

Death_Claw October 12, 2013 10:01PM

Yeah, but I think what you're looking for is impossible to find.

zannon October 12, 2013 06:11AM

I don't "believe" in marriage

morocco October 11, 2013 05:58PM

The state definitely pays more than I would for my own child.

Matrik October 11, 2013 06:41PM

no, that's fair

morocco October 11, 2013 07:19PM

Yeah that is actually true.

Death_Claw October 12, 2013 10:13PM

it's important to note that that is not "payment" but reimbursement for the child's expenses

morocco October 13, 2013 07:15PM

My kid has it good...

Death_Claw October 13, 2013 10:35PM

When you consider the extra hours, attention, and energy you invest to raise a kid...

vortexmagus October 14, 2013 08:43AM

You don't raise a kid for profit.

Death_Claw October 14, 2013 09:45AM

good to hear, but some people miss the point (n/t)

Batman October 11, 2013 04:00PM

I don't think it does.

vortexmagus October 11, 2013 07:29PM

The tooth fairy isn't stretching it if

Batman October 12, 2013 04:14AM

Why is that so far fetched?

Wouldn't it make sense to make having a child together as prerequisite for marriage?

Considering the population crisis, they're a net positive for public health. (n/t)

Artificial October 11, 2013 04:04PM

The United States does not have a population crisis. n/t

Death_Claw October 12, 2013 10:17PM

This. Also, it's not like kids never get sick.

wrathpuppet October 11, 2013 11:17PM

I agree, it sounds nice having multiple productive people for every one unable to work, but in the end it's an unsustainable system. There's a finite limit to the amount of people the country can handle and still function properly.

vortexmagus October 11, 2013 07:30PM

The US is not having an over-population crisis...

Death_Claw October 12, 2013 10:27PM

There is no population crisis, unless we stop reproducing.
