There is no questioning that the sole purpose of a hand guns and automated weapons is to kill other people. If your goal is to hunt animals there is much more effecient weapons (High accuracy, slow fire weapons).

If home protection is your "thing", then a pump action shotgun is the shit I guess? That sound of a shotgun being readied should be pretty scary for a home invader.
