I think the fallacy in your response is that without anybody playing there is no game. We all are contibuting simply by playing.

So yes, we all do have an opinion, and they genuinely matter to the sake of the game. The game that is being played, exclusively by Us.

At least one goal of the volunteer staff, I am sure, is to make sure that there are players populating the game, so that in turn, the game continues to be a game, and not just a sad little program chugging along, tethered to port 4449 of an IP address long forgotten.
