...Let's say we take this situation and find a video completely vindicating the police officer. Does that change the core of the problem? Not really, not to me at least. We live in a society where you can go to Youtube any day of the week and look up a hundred videos of cops assaulting people with no basis, killing people accidentally, being incredibly rude douchebags with their tiny bit of power to otherwise unsuspecting citizens...and largely they get away with it more often then not. And not only do they get away with it, they project themselves as heroes...while tear gassing some girls sitting in protest at a college, and all the other nonsense that is common place.
That to me is the issue and until those issues are resolved and people feel like the police actually work for them instead of against them, we're always going to have these kind of powder keg situations.
