Re: An anecdote for you...

TJHuron December 17, 2014 03:35PM

Well, clearly...

wrathpuppet December 17, 2014 06:10PM

Many do, actually. Link inside

TJHuron December 19, 2014 05:54AM

Uh...

Nurok December 19, 2014 08:28AM

Nuh uh, you fell for propaganda. Nuh uh, you fell for propaganda

Matrik December 19, 2014 08:35AM

Can I come? I promise I'll be quite. I just like tea and crumpets, a lot. (n/t)

Frosty December 19, 2014 09:26AM

As long as you don't bring any drugs in my house. (n/t)

Matrik December 19, 2014 09:30AM

Caffeine is a hell of a drug. So is sugar. (n/t)

Frosty December 19, 2014 09:37AM

You know I meant illegal substances. (n/t)

Matrik December 19, 2014 09:46AM

Okay I'll leave the Hunter S. Thompson briefcase at home ;) (n/t)

Frosty December 19, 2014 09:49AM

Well..

Nurok December 19, 2014 08:38AM

I got the Voice of Freedom for you right here.

Matrik December 19, 2014 08:44AM

To me, this is the same thing as someone arguing that 'global warming doesn't exist' in 2004/5 etc.

Nurok December 19, 2014 08:51AM

I hope you don't think that simply fracing=pumping poison into the ground. (n/t)

Frosty December 19, 2014 09:54AM

I don't think that's the argument.

Matrik December 19, 2014 09:02AM

My whole thing is...

Death_Claw December 19, 2014 07:36AM

"The potential risks are too great. In fact they are not even fully known"

TJHuron December 17, 2014 10:28AM

Would you say historically living next to oil extraction is good?

Quas December 17, 2014 11:39AM

That's hard for me to answer. I imagine many things come into play with that

TJHuron December 17, 2014 03:40PM

You don't have to be a genius to understand that pumping poison into an uncontrolled environment is bad.

Nurok December 17, 2014 10:39AM

How do you know its poisonous chemicals? Because the internet said so? (n/t)

TJHuron December 17, 2014 10:43AM

Because you can read the list that was disclosed to congress in 2011...seriously are you fucking with me?

Nurok December 17, 2014 10:52AM

Hah, you're kind of aggressive. Calling people stupid is a stupid way to argue.

TJHuron December 17, 2014 12:18PM

Would you be happy with a gas company fracking next to where you live? (n/t)

wrathpuppet December 17, 2014 12:43PM

I wouldn't care if it was drilled 5000 + feet down (n/t)

TJHuron December 17, 2014 03:26PM

Yes. Provided I have mineral rights. (n/t)

Matrik December 17, 2014 01:00PM

It's not that simple. It depends on what formation they're attempting to fracture. Some places there is nothing to harm, other places it can seriously fuck everything up. (n/t)

Frosty December 17, 2014 12:47PM

From what I've seen the Marcellus shale is at least 5000 feet deep where the majoirty of drilling occurs out east

TJHuron December 17, 2014 03:25PM

From what I know that's the shallowest one, which is why there so much contraversy in the area. (n/t)

Frosty December 17, 2014 04:22PM

Around here it's shale for natural gas, and the horror stories outweigh the "I'm sure glad I invited the frackers over." (n/t)

wrathpuppet December 17, 2014 12:52PM

Yeah, over in the eastern area around Pennsylvania they are going in places that are too close to the surface. The midwest is a totally different story. (n/t)

Frosty December 17, 2014 12:55PM

Or was it Dr. Zucker? :P (n/t)

TJHuron December 17, 2014 10:44AM

My favorite part:

Matrik December 17, 2014 10:35AM

Ha, right? Dr. Zucker is quite the objective scientist

TJHuron December 17, 2014 10:40AM

Boo. More fracking is more good. (n/t)

Matrik December 17, 2014 10:25AM
