I've been having some slow load speeds, packet loss, and/or latency issues lately. Webpages are taking a quite noticabley longer time to load. Getting lag spikes on MP games and up to forty percent packet loss on DOTA 2. I've never experienced any of this with my service for the last 4-5 years I've had it at my house. I'm connected directly to the modem. When ever I send pings to a website, the first one will always time out. When running a tracert, the second hop always times out. All hops/pings after the timed out ones are usually always ok and within expected range. What does this tell me? I don't know much about networking at all but I know my internet hasn't been up to par lately. What other diagnostics could I run to help figure out what is going on?
