Stop watching american garbage

March 06, 2016 04:56AM
that are especially crafted to appeal to dumb fucks [that get confused by ambiguity, gestalt morality
and any sort of countercultural idea] and also constitute the vast majority of the american
population.

One only has to watch the trailers [ideally one after the other] for batman vs superman,
independence day: resurgence, x-men: apocalypse, star trek: beyond to see the same
stupid motif being crudely shoved down people's throats.

Fuck that noise.

Here are some great horror movies that I enjoyed over the years [some of them are even american],
roughly ordered:

Suspiria: [www.imdb.com]
Audition: [www.imdb.com]
Possession: [www.imdb.com]
A Serbian Film [more of a black comedy but still great]: [www.imdb.com]
Rosemary's Baby: [www.imdb.com]
It Follows: [www.imdb.com]
Guinea Pig series
Nekromantik

Honorable mention: As above, so below [lots of cliches but very entertaining, watch this if you enjoy Hell trips]

Sam March 03, 2016 07:14PM

Jacob's Ladder.

The Faithful of Nazmorghul(VIP) March 08, 2016 11:46AM

Doof March 06, 2016 05:17AM

Best way to describe it! I may watch it tonight.

Sam March 06, 2016 11:37AM

Rhyaldrin March 04, 2016 04:52PM

I've browsed google after your comment

Kstatida March 04, 2016 06:49AM

It's going to be the worst SNL skit of all time

Demtok March 04, 2016 07:01AM

Movies are so cliche these days... makes me sad...

ekirhal March 04, 2016 04:37AM

Stop watching american garbage

zoskia March 06, 2016 04:56AM

You pig-fucker. DON'T WATCH A SERBIAN FILM. WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH THIS.

Sam March 06, 2016 11:36AM

I haven't watched it and I endorse this message

Elystan March 06, 2016 03:32PM

Go for a bike ride, go to a concert, volunteer to help out somewhere, take up piano or guitar lessons, take up cooking classes, dance classes, something, anything.

Frosty March 06, 2016 03:48PM

Don't listen to Frosty. If you want a hobby take up cocaine.

Rhyaldrin March 06, 2016 04:13PM

You CF on cocaine? That's intense.

wrathpuppet March 06, 2016 04:43PM

So...a friend of mine used to say "Sometimes I like to play a game with myself, where I eat 2 ambien and try to cum before I fall asleep. I figure I win either way". NT

Sam March 06, 2016 07:06PM

It's a little sad that you consider movies your friends. =\ n/t

jalim March 07, 2016 01:39AM

No. I get high on life.

Rhyaldrin March 06, 2016 04:45PM

wrathpuppet March 06, 2016 04:50PM

Best vampire movie is still Nosferatu.

Rhyaldrin March 05, 2016 11:46PM

Vampires literature is a strange psychological phenomenon

Kstatida March 06, 2016 03:13AM

I'm with you.

MiyagiYojimbo March 06, 2016 03:40AM

This is not a nuanced view

Elystan March 06, 2016 03:34AM

I think that in vastly popular culture, it started with Bram Stoker's Drakula

Kstatida March 06, 2016 03:57AM

Re: I think that in vastly popular culture, it started with Bram Stoker's Drakula

Frosty March 06, 2016 04:03AM

Thanks for the hint, just watched the scene

Kstatida March 06, 2016 06:23AM

Did you know vampires used to get impaled with iron stakes and not wooden ones?

MiyagiYojimbo March 06, 2016 12:49AM

Bela Lugosi's dead

Frosty March 05, 2016 11:52PM

I like you anyway and this makes me like you more, but Bela Lugosi was not in Nosferatu.

wrathpuppet March 06, 2016 01:47AM

Frosty, no! This makes me want to like you. (n/t)

Elystan March 06, 2016 12:52AM

Have you seen jeepers creepers? (n/t)

tyrjal March 05, 2016 10:42PM

Yes. Like both.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 06, 2016 02:41AM

Shit, you think the Mist has a bummed out ending? (Note: These are mostly not horror flicks) Try: Layer Cake, the Descent, the Counselor, Primal Fear (one of my favs), the aforementioned Oculus...

Sam March 04, 2016 11:31AM

Good ending on The Counselor. I'll check out the others.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 07:32PM

I bet you liked the ending of the 2006 Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:34AM

I think I have that one. I'll check when I get home. Forget how it ends.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 10:59AM

Nope. I have the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I'll check out the other one.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 06, 2016 02:45AM

Matrik March 04, 2016 06:03AM

Event Horizon. (n/t)

Murphy March 04, 2016 12:27AM

If you are a fan of Event Horizon...Sunshine will probably be up your alley. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 09:44AM

I'm not "a fan" of Event Horizon.

Murphy March 04, 2016 04:31PM

Alien is horror. Aliens is action. (n/t)

Elystan March 05, 2016 01:10AM

Wrong, they are both Sci-Fi/Horror. James Cameron directed Aliens...probably why you think it's an action movie.

Sam March 05, 2016 09:32AM

Sunshine is an awesome movie.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 11:00AM

When we went to see it in the theaters (forever ago) it was a beautiful day out, sun shining, awesomeness. Walk out after the movie to torrential downpour and tornado sirens. (n/t)

NbM(VIP) March 04, 2016 10:19AM

I believe horror movies are bad for your health, both physical and moral

Kstatida March 03, 2016 11:26PM

Leave. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:32AM

I watch a fuckload of horror movies.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:39AM

This is true. I didn't start killing women and campers until after I saw Pumpkin Head.

Rhyaldrin March 03, 2016 11:35PM

Thanks for supporting my point

Kstatida March 03, 2016 11:50PM

Depends

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 10:02PM

So...my reasons for the Thing being #1.

Sam March 03, 2016 11:02PM

Event Horizon is definitely excellent.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:41AM

Except this post was about The Thing.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:43AM

What I really appreciated about the Thing

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 11:24PM

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 10:10PM

:) You can call me Toby.

Frosty March 03, 2016 10:17PM

We try to keep things informal here

Kstatida March 03, 2016 10:26PM

You just ruined it.

Frosty March 03, 2016 10:45PM

That was on purpose

Kstatida March 03, 2016 11:08PM

1. the malicious behavior cause by your jealousy is quite annoying 2. fuck you for using a reference to such a wonderfully funny man in attempt to make your bullshit point

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:35AM

Each time you freak out, I smile

Kstatida March 04, 2016 07:41AM

You mistake freaking out with simply being disgusted by your poop mouth. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:46AM

Do you not pity kittens? (n/t)

Kstatida March 04, 2016 07:51AM

Hey hey, where is your political correctness :) N/T (n/t)

Beorn March 03, 2016 10:47PM

You just insulted all Russians by implying the word "Russian" is not politically correct. (n/t)

Murphy March 03, 2016 10:50PM

The correct term is cossak.

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 10:57PM

Kstatida March 04, 2016 08:05AM

Yes.

Rhyaldrin March 03, 2016 11:05PM

That was beautiful.

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 11:25PM

Yes. That part of the song scared my cat badly.

Rhyaldrin March 03, 2016 11:34PM

Lies.

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 11:43PM

I almost forgot. WARNING WARNING WARNING DO NOT WATCH the visit I REPEAT DO **NOT** WATCH the visit WARNING WARNING WARNING

Frosty March 03, 2016 09:21PM

Is it bad? (n/t)

Demtok March 04, 2016 05:25AM

I would rather listen to boris read his personal poetry(which has been deemed worse than the vogon's) than watch that movie. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:41AM

I didn't see it.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:44AM

Too late. NT

Sam March 03, 2016 10:54PM

To many to choose from. Should probably be broken up based on sub-genre (slasher, demonic, zombie, b-horror etc.) but Rosemary's Baby needs to be near the top of the list. (n/t)

Rhyaldrin March 03, 2016 09:14PM

Agreed.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:45AM

The only correct answer:

Artificial March 03, 2016 09:09PM

I thought you were going to say Kazaam.

Frosty March 03, 2016 09:13PM

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Reanimator, Dead Alive, Evil Dead 1/ 2 / army o darkness.

Frosty March 03, 2016 09:07PM

I know someone who would.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:46AM

Evil Dead was definitely scary for its time.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 02:18AM

I will say more: old movie is much better then remake of 2013

Beorn March 04, 2016 03:26AM

Agreed. Remake wasn't nearly as good.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 03:42AM

Yeah. I like the new TV series too... Evil Dead. :-) (n/t)

evil_ranger March 03, 2016 09:12PM

Rec. The Ring (Japanese version). The Exorcist. Antichrist. (n/t)

evil_ranger March 03, 2016 09:03PM

Original Exorcist is my #2 favorite Horror Movie. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 08:47AM

Exorcist and Antichrist definitely 2 thumbs up.~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 02:17AM

Evil Dead 1,2 - is the best ever horror film.

Beorn March 03, 2016 09:10PM

Good news! We can be friends! (n/t)

tyrjal March 03, 2016 08:59PM

"Gentlemen...I know you've been through a lot...but if it's not too much to ask, I'd rather not spend the rest of Winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH."

Sam March 03, 2016 08:47PM

What movie are you guys referring to here?~ (n/t)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 02:12AM

"D'ya think that thing wanted to be an animal? No dogs make it a thousand miles through the cold! No, you don't understand! That thing wanted to be US! If a cell gets out, it could imitate everything on the FACE OF THE EARTH! AAAAND NOTHING can stop it!"

Sam March 04, 2016 10:54AM

Sounds like Stevers. He could imitate anything. (n/t)

Murphy March 04, 2016 12:07PM

The thing. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:48AM

Prequel was fucking awesome too. (n/t)

Frosty March 03, 2016 08:58PM

Surprisingly good! Still, not nearly as good as the original.

Sam March 03, 2016 11:10PM

Lars wasn't the dude who slit his wrist, Lars is the dude who gets shot at the beginning of the 1981 version.

Sam March 04, 2016 08:41AM

It's been a while since I watched it.

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:50AM

I thought the guy who dissappeared was the guy who slits his wrists in the chair.

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:53AM

MEW?

MiyagiYojimbo March 03, 2016 11:32PM

Re: Since I'm watching my favorite...What's everyone's favorite Horror Movie?

NbM(VIP) March 03, 2016 07:40PM

Oh, and I really enjoyed the movie V/H/S as well. (n/t)

NbM(VIP) March 04, 2016 08:25AM

Dude, I think it's V/H/S 2...but there's one little vignette that is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

Sam March 04, 2016 08:44AM

Are you sure that was in 2 and not 3(I haven't seen 3)? I've seen(mostly) 1 and 2 and don't remember anything about genitals coming into play except when the "i like you" demongirl ripped that guy's junk off. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:55AM

Shit... there is a V/H/S 2?! (n/t)

NbM(VIP) March 04, 2016 08:52AM

There's 3. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:55AM

You're right...it was 3 (also known as V/H/S Viral). NT

Sam March 04, 2016 09:24AM

I like you. ;) (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:30AM

Blair Witch...until I learned 2 days after seeing it it was fake. But I hear you on the Discovery Channel buy in. I believed that shit.

Sam March 03, 2016 08:46PM

Re: Blair Witch...until I learned 2 days after seeing it it was fake. But I hear you on the Discovery Channel buy in. I believed that shit.

NbM(VIP) March 04, 2016 04:33AM

In terms of newer movies I really enjoyed As Above So Below. (n/t)

Rhyaldrin March 03, 2016 07:42PM

I was shockingly super enthralled by Oculus, which came out like 2 years ago. Really well done Supernatural horror flick. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 10:56AM

I'll have to check it out (n/t)

NbM(VIP) March 03, 2016 07:52PM

The Thing is way way up there.

Frosty March 03, 2016 07:28PM

I assume you mean the 2011 The Thing...

ekirhal March 04, 2016 02:00AM

I was referring to the original, but yes the 2011 prequel is badass. Though I do like the first one more, I own them both. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:42AM

By the way

Kstatida March 04, 2016 07:45AM

Would you be so kind as to troll someone else somewhere else?

Frosty March 04, 2016 07:50AM

An old man can have his favorites, right? (n/t)

Kstatida March 04, 2016 07:51AM

You will think less of me for this...but haven't seen it yet. Got kinda turned off to Rob Zombie as a filmmaker.

Sam March 03, 2016 08:48PM

Zombie's movies rock. Why don't you like them?

ekirhal March 04, 2016 02:04AM

I'm mostly sick of him casting his wife in every movie. She fucking sucks. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 08:45AM

You'll get it when you're married

Kstatida March 04, 2016 08:58AM

You always have a choice. Unless you don't believe in free will? NT

Sam March 04, 2016 12:29PM

When there's a choice to give your spouse a reason to remind you of till the end of your life

Kstatida March 04, 2016 01:43PM

Did you forget he's from russia?

Frosty March 04, 2016 12:56PM

Women wear the pants in Russia: Confirmed. (n/t)

Matrik March 04, 2016 09:07AM

Yes, he does. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:59AM

The thing is... your opinion doesn't qualify

Kstatida March 04, 2016 09:08AM

I've never been married and I know what you're talking about. (n/t)

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 09:48AM

I thought I knew it too when I wasn't married

Kstatida March 04, 2016 12:22PM

I was in a 13 year relationship.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 01:27PM

Ok, you half qualify

Kstatida March 04, 2016 01:49PM

I walked out of my last relationship, but still spend time with the kids.

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:13PM

Well you prove my point actually (n/t)

Kstatida March 04, 2016 02:32PM

You can take your "actually" and go fuck yourself with it.

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:43PM

You are lovely as ever.

Kstatida March 04, 2016 03:08PM

Remember when I told you you're making absolutely no sense?

Frosty March 04, 2016 03:12PM

Do go on

Kstatida March 05, 2016 12:31AM

You are a sad waste of time and space.

Frosty March 05, 2016 06:37AM

Irony (n/t)

Elystan March 05, 2016 06:41AM

Trolls of a feather, so it seems.

Frosty March 05, 2016 06:48AM

Boris that image has gone Full Torak and refuses to work. (n/t)

Rhyaldrin March 05, 2016 12:45AM

Sorry, fixed it (n/t)

Kstatida March 05, 2016 12:53AM

That's sounds pretty unhappy and dysfunctional. (n/t)

NbM(VIP) March 04, 2016 12:48PM

Totally not

Kstatida March 04, 2016 01:46PM

I never said I didn't like her being in the movies.

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:06PM

If wife is an actress - it's almost a must

Kstatida March 04, 2016 02:13PM

Not really. You can be like that one Coen, and only SOMETIMES cast your wife. Francis McDormand hasn't been in all his movies, just like 4-5. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 02:27PM

And Tim Burton didn't put Helena Bonham Carter in EVERY movie he made when they were together.

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:37PM

She never even wanted or had aspirations of being an actress before he put her in his first movie.

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:21PM

Noone knows what happens inside the family

Kstatida March 04, 2016 02:29PM

You have a very strange method of tipping your king on its side. (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 02:47PM

I wonder if the moment when you decide that you have won the argument is completely random

Kstatida March 05, 2016 03:00AM

This was no argument, nobody had anything to "win." You're being an asshole troll who thinks it's funny to push his opinion on others.

Frosty March 05, 2016 06:34AM

Do please go on.

Kstatida March 05, 2016 09:39AM

Irony (n/t)

Elystan March 05, 2016 06:41AM

Re: Irony

Frosty March 05, 2016 06:48AM

Same here, but it doesn't matter what we know. What matters is what we're told we know on this forum by other people from other countries. Right? (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 11:49AM

Women wear the pants in Russia: Triple confirmed.

Matrik March 04, 2016 09:11AM

I hated house of 1000 corpses, devil's rejects was meh, and because I'm not fond of those movies I still haven't seen his Halloween reboots(though I intend to). (n/t)

Frosty March 04, 2016 08:58AM

Yeah, I'm not a fan of his work either... but he had nothing to do with that movie. FYI

Frosty March 03, 2016 08:56PM

ARRRRRRGH you are so right. Plus I got mad someone tried to remake Carpenter's masterpiece. Damn, will check out the Friday the 13th remake. NT

Sam March 03, 2016 10:53PM

Oh Jesus.

wrathpuppet March 03, 2016 07:17PM

I didn't get Session 9 at all...

ekirhal March 04, 2016 01:56AM

I felt that Session 9 was a legitimately creepy movie.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:37AM

Angel Heart total rocked... (spoiler)

ekirhal March 04, 2016 04:41AM

Louis Cypher. One of Deniro's best roles. Also...I may have masturbated to Lisa Bonet getting railed by Mickey Rourke a time or twelve. NT

Sam March 04, 2016 08:47AM

That's what I'm saying.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 04:43AM

Re: Oh Jesus.

Darbhi March 04, 2016 12:22AM

I only watched the Original.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:35AM

Session 9 is dope. You should check out the Babadook. NT

Sam March 03, 2016 08:44PM

I did.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 03:36AM

That was part of the "dynamic" of the story. Bleak, dark, depressing setting. Saves money on effects too :)

Sam March 04, 2016 08:43AM

No, I liked it and it was good.

wrathpuppet March 04, 2016 08:47AM

Loved Cabin in the Woods
