Gulf of Mexico is supposed to be terrible as well. The currents don't let anything get "out" once it's dumped, so it all washes up on the US/Mexico coast. I forget the exact statistic, but I think it would take several tens of years for it to all wash up even if zero new stuff were being dumped.
