Just finished CS Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet trilogy.

The first two books were incredibly well-written - very vivid in his writing with great pace. They don't have that epic quality of Narnia (read Dawntreader, it's the best) but the imagery and dialogue cannot be topped. The third book is much different, still not sure what I think about it, but it was a solid read.
