I moved to New Hampshire this summer and I need to buy a good snow vehicle.

I was leaning toward the Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 due to the reliability ratings, but the lack of a true 4x4 has me concerned about how it'll handle in the snow which is the #1 reason for getting a new car. Also looking at 4Runner, Forester, Santa Fe, and whatever else that has decent reliability and I can get for around $20k-$25k new (I'll probably buy used, but just use this as the ballpark number).

Anyone have any ideas?
