Yeah I sorta deduced that from the javadocs. It's not good code, but it's not buggy code either.

Is this in an app where small pieces of inefficient code are a major issue?

Also, as I'm recently out of school, how long has this intern been out of school, working there, etc? What is the job and what were the reqs. for it?

Again, I'm not a Java guy so a Java coder job isn't apples to apples, but I'm always interested to know about this stuff.
