1. Start in San Antonio and visit the Alamo.
2. North to Austin and visit the UT Tower, site of the 1966 shooting.
3. North to Killeen and visit Luby's.
4. North to Waco, home of the Branch Davidian compound.
5. North to Dallas, site of the JFK assassination.
6. Continuing north to Oklahoma City, site of the federal building bombing.

I may be missing a few.
