It still gets 26-30 mpg even without a muffler (who needs those?) It's survived hitting four deer (to be fair, the first two hit me and I was only going 10 miles an hour) That last one though, I was on a paved backroad where the trees were 1 ft from the edge of the road and it leaped out of the darkness. So I sped up to prevent it from hitting me dead center and blowing up my radiator and pulverized it's head against my headlight where it's body decided to dislodge my door... which still doesn't close right. It left a righteously cool stream of blood all the way down my cab and had managed to dislodge the bulb from the socket (though it didn't break it). Had to replace the light casing and fix a little chipped paint on the hood. But that was it... oh yeah. And I had to get a new door. Insurance dicked me though and wouldn't pay enough for a new door so I had to get a used one. That's why it doesn't fit right. They fixed my mirror though :)
The only downside to it is I shoulda gotten an extended cab cause it was nice when I was making hundreds of 800+ mile road trips alone, but it's hard to shove a companion and clothes and stuff into that little space.
