Simon R. Green - Deathstalker Series (this one is older but still awesome - if you can start with the first book "Deathstalker" you'll love it)
Peter V. Brett - The Warded Man (debut novel which piqued my interest), Desert Spear (second in the series, much better than the first imo)
Matthew Woodring Stover - Heroes Die (amazing blend of everything good in dark fantasy) Blade of Tyshalle (epic sequel)
Scott Lynch - The Lies of Locke Lamora (much discussed on this board, just including it if you haven't read it already), Red Seas under Red Skies (sequel to Lies of Locke Lamora)
Naomi Novik - Temeraire series
Suzanne Collins - The Hunger Games trilogy
Jim Butcher - The Dresden Files and Codex Alera
Brent Weeks - The Black Prism (by the author of the way of shadows trilogy, this is a slightly more sophisticated offering that is a marked improvement on his debut, though he still has a penchant for somewhat cliched hollywood devices)
