All kinda downhill from there. The Heath Ledger Joker is the only redeeming part of the second film. And while the third movie was better than the second, the first movie set the bar so high, that everything after seemed kinda weak. Kind of like the Matrix.

So I just finished The Dark Knight Rises....

Set the bar too high? Both films were garbage

It was average IMO.

Batman Begins was by far the best. I was pleasantly surprised with the Dark Knight Rises though. They tied up all the storylines very well. It had an ending, which is key. NT

GREAT analogy re: Matrix. I totally agree.

Yeah. Oldman is a class act.

Damn right, he's a favorite.

Batman December 28, 2012 04:54AM

I think I still love him in Leon the most.

Am I the only one who liked Dark Knight better than Batman Begins?

Splntrd December 27, 2012 01:46PM

They did cram a lot into the first movie.

istirith December 28, 2012 02:49AM

Well, how do you tell a Batman story that has a beginning and an ending? The theme of the series was Gotham and its' "downfall".
