Just so you know, that's exactly what happened

February 05, 2013 10:53AM
When you kill someone in self defense or for any reason, even if justified by law you are immediately under arrest when the police arrive. I assure you he was not allowed to leave and would have been/was provided an attorney during questioning of what happened. He definitely was arrested. It was clearly determined pretty quickly that there was no criminal case, a waste of time for the local prosecutor so he was let go.

Good guy with gun, shoots 2 bad teenagers with guns AT school!

Nurok February 04, 2013 05:09AM

Can anyone clear up whether or not it was legal for the coach to have a gun at school? (n/t)

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 08:09AM

the coach should be arrested

Quas February 05, 2013 04:18AM

Just so you know, that's exactly what happened

Rade February 05, 2013 10:53AM

I agree. The rule of law is paramount.

sevriis February 05, 2013 07:57AM

Innocent until proven guilty. Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness.

Matrik February 05, 2013 07:59AM

I'm really not a legal expert, but that's the difference between Common Law and the American system, isn't it?

sevriis February 05, 2013 10:04AM

Confused by this..

Java February 05, 2013 12:05PM

Common Law vs. Civil Law..

istirith February 05, 2013 10:15AM

Deadly force is justified.

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 05:05AM

I'm sorry, what the fuck?

Batman February 05, 2013 04:33AM

but this wasn't any of those situations

Quas February 05, 2013 04:55AM

Dude... I've heard you say lots of dumb stuff but this is mind blowingly stupid

kanye February 05, 2013 06:48AM

Pride definitely isn't worth anything. Especially in life-threatening situations.

istirith February 05, 2013 07:20AM

Or they'll pick on Quas, get a free win, a free wallet, etc. NT

Batman February 05, 2013 07:21AM

Who said it would be free?

Quas February 05, 2013 07:52AM

This guy followed the appropriate channels as defined by society too. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 08:07AM

Been there, done that

Quas February 05, 2013 07:11AM

Curious, when is it justified to fight back? harm? kill? (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 08:24AM

Re: but this wasn't any of those situations

Matrik February 05, 2013 06:28AM

why do you assume the kids would shoot him

Quas February 05, 2013 06:52AM

Why do you assume they wouldn't?

Matrik February 05, 2013 07:45AM

Its very simple

Quas February 05, 2013 08:31AM

Nice fantasy land you live in. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 09:39AM

Re: Its very simple

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 08:33AM

Any time a gun is coupled with a threat, I think it's fair to assume that it will be used. (n/t)

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 07:41AM

Agreed, so nobody should be allowed to carry them in public (n/t)

Quas February 05, 2013 07:47AM

Re: Agreed, so nobody should be allowed to carry them in public, ever, problem solved (n/t)

Quas February 05, 2013 07:47AM

Well, that's the whole problem with people having them in public.

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 08:06AM

The answer is to give more people guns for free. Criminals, the clinically insane, and Quas included. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 08:11AM

We should also all live in bubbles, far away from any sharp or blunt objects. Hell, let's just all live in padded rooms. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 07:56AM

These kids pulled a gun on him. He had every right to assume it was loaded and they were willing to use it. nt

Splntrd February 05, 2013 05:36AM

If the person's life is in danger, or if their life is being threatened - then I think fatal force is not only justified, but should be expected.

Batman February 05, 2013 05:09AM

I can see Quas's point.

Java February 05, 2013 05:36AM

Yeah. I can too.

istirith February 05, 2013 06:56AM

Looking for a minor clarification

Splntrd February 05, 2013 06:11AM

People are acting like there's no such thing as excessive force.

Java February 05, 2013 08:46AM

I think he is referring to the illegal use of excessive force in warfare.

Matrik February 05, 2013 06:23AM

Absolutely 100% unequivocably false. There is no such law. Urban Myth. God this thing just wont die no matter how hard we try.

Pro February 05, 2013 09:56AM

I can't help it. You've trolled me. I have to answer.

Matrik February 05, 2013 10:32AM

ROE does not equal Law of War. If you violate ROE you can not be prosecuted for War Crimes. You are describing "Economy of Force".

Pro February 05, 2013 03:47PM

I didn't say anything about Law of War. You're mixing up posts. I was pointing what I assumed (incorrectly) Java was talking about. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 04:27PM

Moron. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 10:18AM

Unless it causes unnecessary collateral damage. (n/t)

DurNominator(VIP) February 05, 2013 10:11AM

How about one or the other of you actually cite your claim?

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 10:09AM

Not claiming anything. Just taking a guess at what Java was talking about. (n/t)

Matrik February 05, 2013 10:20AM

.50 CAL. I WAS ENGAGING AND DSIABLING THE ENEMIES CANTEEN. NOT PUTTING FIST SIZE HOLES IN HUMANS. (n/t)

kanye February 05, 2013 06:46AM

I agree, and I think Wrathpuppet presented a good point.

Batman February 05, 2013 05:48AM

Was a gun drawn?

Java February 05, 2013 08:49AM

"When one pulled a gun..." (n/t)

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 08:56AM

So only one had a gun.. meaning the coach shot an unarmed kid.

Java February 05, 2013 09:08AM

In fairness, I don't see anyone here calling him a hero.

Matrik February 05, 2013 09:41AM

Being unarmed does not mean "undangerous" Liberals are just mentaly ill. (n/t)

Pro February 05, 2013 09:30AM

This. (n/t)

wrathpuppet February 05, 2013 09:14AM

That said I know who to demand money from now. Sheesh. (n/t)

RobDarken February 05, 2013 04:39AM

I think it was pretty just.

RobDarken February 05, 2013 04:32AM

You don't fool me. The coach was robbing the teenagers and it went bad.

Quixotic February 04, 2013 05:33PM

Always awesome results when everyone has a gun (n/t)

cenatar February 04, 2013 12:31PM

He should have to pay for the kids funeral and lost wages on the other thug. (Sarcasm) (n/t)

Pro February 04, 2013 05:48AM

He should have offered to help him mug more people just so that the kid doesn't get shot mugging others alone.

Batman February 05, 2013 04:39AM
