An actual lawyer will know the case by heart, you could google it if you want... but the Supreme Court ruled that corn you grow on your own property for private consumption or for your farm animals to consume is bound by the interstate commerce clause because you *not* buying corn on the open market affects interstate commerce or something like that.

I'm not saying I agree with that ruling, but it is our law as it stands.
