What make/model of wireless card?

Probably just w8 continued suckage for driver support. (don't believe me? Google windows 8 video driver HP laptop - mind you these are devices shipping with w8 on them not upgraded machines.)

Stop beta testing that failed product for them and roll back. Since I like you, if you REALLY need it, I might even have an unused XP key I could part with.
