This doesn't really make since, at all. The painful part of the "passing" of a stone is from your kidney, assuming it can get out of your kidney, via the Ureter to the bladder. Once in the bladder its nothing, just swirls around there for hours/days and suddenly pops out when your urinating. Surprising, slightly uncomfortable but not painful. Your Urethra is considerably larger in diameter than the Ureter. Just the way he reacted to pain was not "typical", and pretty much everyone seems to react the same way.
I guess if your passing golf balls it doesn't really matter, it will make you wish for death, but for typical stones this video makes no sense. Love the show tho.
