SteversRules
Violation of these rules will result in the deletion of your posts by the VIP staff and a private notification. Repeated or intentional abuse of the Forums may lead to a ban from this site. Do not spam any of the boards, as that will lead instantly to a ban.
All rules in this section apply to the Main, Log, Char, Event, and Script boards.
1) All posts should pertain to Carrion Fields, and should be posted on the relevant forum. Logs and their discussion go on the Log Board (do not start new threads on the log board that are not logs). Character discussions, farewell notes, backstories, and the like go on the character board. Other posts should be placed on the main CForum.
2) Do not post information or speculate about who is playing what character, or what characters are being played by the same player. THIS INCLUDES IMMORTALS
2a) Do not post with the handle of an active character.
2b) If you suspect another player of a Carrion Fields rules violation (multi-charring, scouting, illegal name, etc.), report to an IMM in the game, and do not bring it here.
3) Malicious character assassination will not be tolerated. This includes heavily commented logs which attempt to instill a bias of a character into the reader, non-log posts that attempt the same, or images/logs that give information about a character that could be considered secret or detrimental to the character (i.e. tells from an imperial about plotting against the emperor). Use discretion when posting about other active characters.
4) Do not speak about rule 4.
5) Personal attacks which become disruptive to the Forum will be deleted. These include, but are not limited to, repeated slander of individuals without reference to their ideas or the game in general.
5a) This does not include “offensive†words, as even the “offensive†words can be used appropriately in certain contexts, and are not always “offensive.†Just because one user doesn’t like being called a certain word does not mean that another user will be banned for using it. If a user is truly offended by what he/she considers attacks against him/herself, then the user may PM VIPs to take care of the matter, privately. VIPs will then, privately, notify the offender about the issue.
6) Certain topics should not be discussed on the Forum, as they are considered game secrets. These include, but are not limited to: Quests, locations and properties of powerful items not found on Item Search (wands, haste potions, etc.), areas listed under "Areas Explore" (including all of Hell), shrine locations, the powers of any cabal not listed in the sidebar, tattoo effects, and stats on any item flagged "nolocate".
7) Do not intentionally post misinformation. Intention will be determined on a case to case basis.
All rules in this section apply to the Enforcement and Feedback boards.
1) The Enforcement Board will be used by non-VIPs only to keep up with who is being banned and/or to inquire about any ban that has taken place. If a user wishes to fight against an active ban in place, they will take it to the feedback board.
2) The Feedback board is to be used to inquire about anything site-related (bans, changes, etc). Nothing posted on this board should pertain to CF directly, but Dios itself.
3) Failure to obey these rules will result in posts being deleted, and a ban of the offender.
