DISTRACT DISTRACTED DISTRACTION (3514)
In combat, adventurers with high Wisdom can notice if an enemy adventurer
takes their attention off of them, and use the opportunity to press their
attack with a surprise strike or two. Examples of opponent actions that might
trigger this include: manipulating armor, weapons and devices; participating in
commerce; or manipulating doors or containers.
You should definitely be getting more than 500exp from the Seaport. Are you going on the ships as they dock and looking at the captains?
Also as a new player I don't think you should be concerning yourself with farming the exp for edge points. You should be concerning more with just exploring and learning the world, imo. Edges aren't going to make a difference in the world of PK or c
The other fights and rooms I get through by going through the easy part of the area then leaving to reset the repop timer then rush to the harder part and just making liberal use of fleeing to rest/sleep if I'm playing a mage. Melee characters have a slightly easier time but you can make use of similar tactics.
If those edges were part of those combos from the get go I bet we would see a lot more diversity from the class over human/halfie conjurer #2346462452432
