I am still saying diet is more important than anything else. The "average Joe" doesn't have a good diet. That's why 60% of America is considered obese, probably like yourself and many other CF'ers. They are this way, because they eat fast food, donuts, soda, little debbies, and a whole bunch of other useless eating. Not only does unhealthy eating have the glaring obviousby _Magus_ - OT Board
When did I ever fucking say that? I said you're better off doing nothing, rather than working out hard and not getting yourself nutritioned (which causes catabolism). Geezus fucking christ, you're being stupid.by _Magus_ - OT Board
If you work out, and you don't get proper nutrition, your body going into catabolism. Look it up.by _Magus_ - OT Board
No. If you have a healthy diet and nutrition intake, you won't be a fast-food eating fat ass. Get my drift? Please stop being a moron, Isidur. You're better than that.by _Magus_ - OT Board
But if you want a normal, balanced, well developed build, you'll take the proper necessary steps. Here's how I look at it. Most people invest their time and money into stocks/bonds, cars, movies, junk they don't need, video games, etc. I invest my time in money into my well being. I am investing in my health. Dieting is the wrong word to use. It's a lifestyle. Youby _Magus_ - OT Board
Your caloric intake would be somewhere between 2400-2900 calories a day. Trust me on this, people always, always under estimate how much caloric intake they have, usually by about 3-500 calories per meal. Just focus on the three square meals a day and meal replacement between meals. It'll likely put you at about 3000-3500 calories per day, counting the meal replacement calories. Your workouts will only get you as far as your diet. You probably don't know anything about catabolism, do you? It is the #1 muscle killer. Doing absolutely nothing (not working out) is better than working your ass off and not getting yourself nutritioned.by _Magus_ - OT Board
And purely because of this statement: "The diet isn't as important as what you actually do for your muscles, as long as you're burning what you eat. " Diet is more important than working out. If you go into a gym, and lift hard enough to the point where you feel a burn or pain for a couple of days, then what you have just done is torn your muscle. That muscle will stay tby _Magus_ - OT Board

Feeling nostalgic here. But I miss Heron-Marked blades. Those were some kickass swords that you could get around level 30-35. For some reason, I was always able to get good damage out of them, even with a crappy set of gear. Plus the added strength. *sigh* I just miss the whole White Tower. That was a good leveling area, too.by _Magus_ - Main Board

Yeah, you're definitely right. Supplements are not meant to be used as a replacement. They are called supplements for a reason. To supplement a steady, regular, healthy diet. Ditch soda pop. If you need caffine, stick with coffee and tea. Drink lots of water.by _Magus_ - OT Board
I've tried dozens and dozens of supplements over the past 6 years. So far, the ones that have helped me the most are BSN products. BSN Syntha-6 as a post workout protein. BSN True Mass as a meal replacement. BSN NO-Explode is by far the best pre-workout supplement I've found. I've tried several (NOna Vapor, Armageddon, Superpump250, Dymatize expand, etc. etc.). And don't do split routines until you have a solid base. Doing a bunch of idolation workouts won't get you anywhere if you don't put on some bulk. It'll just make you look stringy, and won't add a much strength in the long haul. Don't do a shit load of cardio. Hit cardio once, maybe twice a week, depending on how much energy you have on your days off. The days thaby _Magus_ - OT Board
I am also 23 years old. As a senior in High School, I was 5'8" and 118 pounds. I was a freaking twig. Now, I am still thin (165lbs), but at least I can say that I am stronger than a lot of other people who are also a lot bigger than me. Being able to incline press 85lb dumbbells, perfectly, for 6-8 reps is quite an accomplishment from where I used to be 6 years ago. And being able toby _Magus_ - OT Board

You were in agreement that a crappy FAQ is better than no FAQ, which is a matter of opinion. Java just stated that he thinks your opinion is stupid. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. And some people like to voice their disapproval more than others.by _Magus_ - Main Board
Or am I mistaken?by _Magus_ - Main Board
I didn't see one piece of factual information in that rubbish. Granted, I didn't read past the first paragraph. If you're going to make a FAQ, don't make it an opinionated piece of shit. Put facts in the damn thing, and leave out your own hooplah.by _Magus_ - Main Board
Because you hit the nail on the head. It's that particular person's point of view, in most cases. The only FAQ that I would find useful, is one that states nothing but pure facts (e.g. this is what Iron Grip does, and what it's capable of), as opposed to an opinionated piece of garbage.
