to clairfy, lame on the imm's part. It was powergamey and pointless, but not worth losing skills over. otoh they have been cracking down on attacking cabal guys, depending on who you get snooping
I have a, um, good vocabulary. Every race except giants (and orcs, but they have their own fun word choices) can get away with a big word every now and then.
But seriously, the Inn is more secure (in theory) than any other place in the world. That's, obviously, by design. It also has some justification in the lore of the game in general.
Your surprise attack >>> ANNIHILATES <<< Zomenth!
Zomenth is DEAD!!
You land the killing blow against Zomenth.
Zomenth's severed head plops on the ground.
Your surprise attack *** DEVASTATES *** Weltha!
Weltha is DEAD!!
You land the killing blow against Weltha.
Your surprise attack does UNSPEAKABLE things to Zerliae!
Zerliae is DEAD!!
You land the killing blow
Quick rebound edge - excellent. size "medium" bearcharge is trip lag at best (except on gnomes, who I really didn't beef with), this makes it so you can at least try again if you miss
Polar wind - decent, but unless you're fighting the rare hero fire giant without resist cold, useless
mountaineers warcry - useless. even as an explorer.
I'll be back.
And the unbalanced part makes it easier to get to the jokes. As I get older I'd much rather play a twenty hour game with tough boss fights than a hundred hour game with stupid grindy shit. I also got the game as a gift so I'm judging on a curve I suppose.
Surprisingly not bad. A nice, old-school Square-style RPG with shout-outs and call-backs to every SP episode I can remember. I'm a 6th level Jew. Not a typo.
