You will accumulate kills more quickly at lower levels, and hide + free detect invis/hide is a huge boon to a villager.
If you're used to Empire style warrior, the inability to use a healer and the inability to use potions is a very big gamechanger.
Lack of easy escape really punishes an aggressive warrior playstyle. Especially since you can't use anything to refresh moves.
