between posting on a forum of a game you choose not to play and posting on a forum of a game you are not allowed to play. I don't have a problem with either. FYI
I remember when I came back after a long break to find the wand system in place (where you had three spots for life). Someone took me around to check all the spots one night. Sienna was on Malikoth's corpse, aura was on the Udgaard shapeshifter guildguard, barrier was on the brass dragon. I had no idea how lucky I was at the time.
one utility/air and the other defense/air, there were only two barrier rods that were problematic. One is in the abandoned siege camp and the other is an invoker guildmaster. The camp is the only one I really needed help with because, while it could technically be done alone (form depending), it would be more trouble than it's worth.
I can't speak for invokers.
I wasn't playing a thief with advanced lockpick at the time, but I heard they made a lot of doors and chests no-pick even to them. Advanced lockpick is 8 thief points out of the 100 total you get. You SHOULD be able to use it to get into those places and chests. I have played several thieves in the past and they did not need to be nerfed before that change.
Could I, as a good invoker (maybe even in Fortress), have a conversation with a mob where the mob tells me he wants me to slay evil even if it costs the mob his life getting hit by one of my area spells? Would that affect any punishment I get for killing a mob? Should it even be considered?
A good Murphygram might be a vegetable garden (CF farms) with a little sign on the end of the rows saying "carrots" and have little hammer heads growing up out of the ground.
Please send me secret CF info as reward. As an aside, Destuvius gave my defense/air shifter (Kycue) a hippo form. In IMM comments "This char is good for the mud". :)
Can I have a quest form next time I play a shifter? Also, though unrelated, I think you're the best IMM ever. And I'm not just saying that because I want a quest form. Maybe a yeti? Think about it.
My impression of paladins were that they are very good fighters and have good protections, but you can always get away from them. It made sense in an RP way because paladins aren't about killing the body, rather they would rather cleanse the spirit. In theory, there's always the possibility of redemption and if someone tries to run away or concede the battle, a paladin would let them in
