... I never had the power to make new npcs. This was a long time ago, but when I was in there generally the lower level Imms did more of the cabal running and immteraction and the highest level imms did more management and a little bit of everything. Creating new NPCs with unique descriptions and stuff was very high level stuff and had to be planned in advance and was generally used for specificby PaulO - Char Board
1) Play for yourself and don't play for any kind of immteraction at all. Or if you really must have immteraction.. 2) Do everything you can to make a character with RP that is: - Original. Pretty easy. The more creative and consistent the better to make Imms want to learn about your character and interact with you. - A hook. I know most people will voice disagreement with this, butby PaulO - Main Board
Magus already explained it really well, and I'd just like to add: It's like going to a fun resort that lets you wake up at different Caribbean islands. They try really hard to entertain you, and you won't have time to participate in all of the activities they have set up. When I was younger, my dad said one of the things he liked about cruises was he could basically let us kids runby PaulO - OT Board
Obviously it's worth using when you can (why wouldn't you?), but since it has such a small window of use it'd be nice if it were more powerful or easier to use. What I'd like to see is if there is a corpse in the room, that room becomes a graveyard until the corpse goes away.by PaulO - Log Board

A friend introduced me to the concept of filling up on salad, bread, and maybe an appetizer and getting the entree to go and eating it for a meal later.by PaulO - OT Board
He's very outgoing, jovial, smiles non-stop, talkative and engaging in conversation, and fun to hang out with. I think it is a problem with the internet and lack of proper expressiveness leads people (on both sides) to constantly read text in a harsher tone than it was intended.by PaulO - Main Board
It's impossible to take all the quests with one character (even ignoring the class/race/alignment restrictions) at the lower levels. You'll level too quickly before you're able to do them all.by PaulO - Main Board

My girlfriend in high school's father had an old Stingray. Even then (this is some 15 years ago) it drove like an old car. The handling, suspension, etc were all very unpolished compared to new cars at that time. And it was loud. But at the same time, it was a sturdy, powerful car. That Dodge Challenger does look pretty hot, and like you said it's going to have all of the bells & whby PaulO - OT Board
The new model is awesome. Just kidding! I couldn't resist! (although it IS a really good vehicle!) I'd probably go with the Stingray too if I had a pick. I've liked the look of those cars since I was a kid and I've had a '93 Camero. It was ok, but not a classic in my opinion. I'm a fan of the old muscle cars in general. I'm not really a "car guy"by PaulO - OT Board
In #1 you seem very interested in exploring. Battle tend to not do too much exploring compared to other cabals and uncaballed. Conjurer's aren't the best for groups either. So, I'd say pick one of the other classes suggested.by PaulO - Main Board
It's a good book. I don't agree with 100% of it, but overall I'd say it has a positive message.by PaulO - OT Board
Write a will. I believe that's all you'd have to do to make sure the Doe family doesn't get anything in the event of your death. As for having money to do stuff with your kids, fishing is really cheap. All you really have buy is the pole (can get some really cheap), line, hook, and fishing license. If you want, you can even make your own pole. Can find worms for free, and that iby PaulO - OT Board
I don't care if he's playing music or not. I do care if he's going to force all the people who do work to pay for his music against their will. If "living the dream" involves living off the backs of serfs, then I don't like your dream.by PaulO - OT Board
Give less warnings for bad behavior, kicking them out first and tell them they have to earn the spot back in. That really separates the wheat from the chaff, as they say. Dhaevor and Takashimi are two examples of ones that were kicked out, stepped up and earned a spot back in, and ended up doing a great job as leader. Then there's those that delete within a few days of getting kicked, thinniby PaulO - Main Board
