I've had multiple characters that rattled off 150 straight PKs without a death. I've also had multiple characters that went 0-10+ at hero and deleted without a hero pkwin. Sometimes you're just up against the worst possible class, against a guy geared to the teeth who knows the game better than you do. So I flee. I've played hero characters that would literally teleport ev
Waylay is only one round of lag, or zero if you set it up right. I never did an onslaught ambush in PK except when I knew that it was going to end the fight.
Lightning resistance was really important and made fighting possible. But anyone could see that lashes was way bugged. to lightning control took me forever. Once I got lightning control I got 200 charges in like 50 hours or something dumb. I think I've played 7 APs with lightning control. Ravon was the slowest to get there by a significant margin, but was unbeatable after. It was just
i had the code checked before i let you blackjack me outside the chasm. why do you think i avoided you for so long and then finally let you get me ten squares away from a DT? sorry bud. i knew what the result was going to be beforehand.
i think he was sore that i spent so much time in there and then went in with ravon and cleaned it out. he logs everything in there, and he would follow me around and countermeasure the things i did, like you could master swiftstrike/riposte there in 30 minutes and I did that with all my chars at level 40, until he put the EXP cap in. i also used to gather sanc/haste/protection all/lifesurge and
there are lots of passages that are only visible if you have the skill. they let you move around extremely quickly. also, there are various preps that are extremely powerful. haste, stone skin, ethos protection that can be gathered on a timer at various wilderness locations. in addition, you can teleport back to the eastern continent at certain locations. if you are a leader, it gives you a
but now, there are so many changes that would make it a much worse character.

For example, they say you need to boost your saves. Looks like your saves are pretty good here, you resisted a ton of his spells. Plague is just a straight constitution check, so that wouldn't help you.
Bards don't have a lot of PK power until they get their final songs, and shamans are probably most powerful in these ranks, so it's just a horrible matchup. The way I would p
It basically sets aside the str part of most physical maledictions while you are thirsting, along with a small STR boost. So if you get a -15 str malediction, then thirst, you're back at full with like +5 from bloodthirst. I remember there were some buggy things where you could have your shoulder broken twice or something, because the original shoulder break had been set aside. I can'
Always trip lag, like 1% to miss, didn't rely on helm at all. Also haste was a lot easier to get back then, just quaff a potion and you have it. So you have a hasted imperial offense warrior that trips you nonstop while you are sigiled.
It's from an area explore, and it can be a very useful item there. Whole area is a big waste of time though, when are people going to realize that? It's extremely buggy and even if you figured out how to do something really useful there, it will likely be changed next time you come in. Note that my definition of useful means getting limit one items.
To whatever you do. I'm not sure it adds to lag that is generated by other things, but a two round spell becomes a three round spell, etc. In the log where you kill Cavani, you can see that he gets hit with the lightning lag prog. That's longer than a bash right there. If muddle affects it, it would be four rounds.
Daevryn describes someone receiving muddle as a RC award as one of the most powerful RC awards they have ever handed out. There is only one other piece of equipment in the entire game that muddles AFAIK and it might as well not exist, as well as a tattoo. Malaise is even stronger, and there is only one piece of bard only EQ that casts it. This whip casts both, mental jolt, drains mana on every
You tried to flee from stsf, you confuse flow of shadows trigger with stsf, you somehow think that reducing a warriors strength is a good way to land a kill. If you used your brain you would wreck all these guys, but dying to an elf axe spec as a black shrouded high priest hurts my brain. Damn/blind gg. Fail? Word and try again later. Eventually he teleports and then you just have to find hi
berserker is the way to go. You just need to change your playstyle. How do you beat an air/offense scion shifter? I would wield a polearm and flee every time he attacks me. If you fight someone that has 1800 hp and a/b/s and can escape with one command, but that you can't escape from, then you are an idiot. Eventually luck will fall his way and you will die. In order to win, you need t
Jan also came over though, he was probably the absolute best player on DM (special olympics gold medalist) that I can remember. I hadn't talked to Jan in years, but he dropped me a line back in '09 I believe. Can only imagine what they're up to now.
Notice that it was Baerinka who did it, also she cites Fjodir as one of her favorite characters ever.

Pretty much only logging on to try and kill Fjodir, which we just did, so I doubt we'll see more of him. Ungranted, someone else can get nightreaver. Someone who plays.
Pretty funny, because that was the very f
Menzaen was my best e-friend, we used to play DM together and came over together. I was actually the thief in the log and present when it happened, I stole the codex back instantly anyways, then he got anathema out of nowhere and I tripped/killed him haha, he wasn't too happy about that. Stuff like that really soured him on the game, I don't think he plays anymore.
You need to think: Who are my opponents going to be, what are their tactics going to be, and how am I going to beat them? If you take STSF but your average fight lasts 4 rounds, you've just wasted a legacy slot. If you are going to fight goodies, you have to expect conjurers, bards, and paladins mostly. Lagging is going to be critical, and surviving communes/spells is the name of the gam
The player in this log is clearly very inexperienced. From choice of weapon in this fight to spells cast to lack of svpara as a goodie, even to the choice of target, every command is a mistake. The reason people are mad is because despite how bad the player is, several matchups will get one rounded by a player with no skill.
It's like playing rock paper scissors against someone who al
You are playing an AP like a warrior with the sleep spell. Play it like a necromancer with bash instead. If AP's were supposed to beat a pure melee class in straight melee, then why would anyone ever pick a warrior?
I would have ran after failing sleep, although I wouldn't have attempted it in the first place since it looks like this guy could kill you in two good rounds.

Regroup after the beginning of the fight. Your invoker should have fled and reshielded you. Why didn't he cast dig on the earth elemental to blow it up immediately? He should have been buffetting the ranger off you as well. You're at 70% and could just leave, but instead you press on. Why are you casting fireball, when plague is very strong against a felar due to the low con, blind
Yes, it's clearly too good. I was very surprised they never changed it during my lifetime. If you ever play one, you must have pursuit at 100%, as it makes an enormous difference. With swampmire and evade it's basically impossible to pin you down, as well as outlander haste from ancient instincts and staffs of haste. Here is my advice on how to beat one:
1) Blind the ranger. If
