i think he was sore that i spent so much time in there and then went in with ravon and cleaned it out. he logs everything in there, and he would follow me around and countermeasure the things i did, like you could master swiftstrike/riposte there in 30 minutes and I did that with all my chars at level 40, until he put the EXP cap in. i also used to gather sanc/haste/protection all/lifesurge and charge out into market square galadon with my orc and bash everyone down until he fixed that as well, which he changed back after i stopped playing.
there's actually a bug which causes the game to crash when you get one of the archmages down to convulsing, and i asked him to fix it multiple times but he never did. annoying because it was a several hour time investment to get things right. after that, i stopped going in there because certain items aren't too useful when you have 3000+ hp and 200+ damroll, and it wouldn't be too hard for a bug to nuke my weapon. at least one of the progs in there would have gotten my weapon if not for soulbind. i would say if you create an area that is so risky to the character that people would prefer to go in there with a character that doesn't have hundreds of hours invested in it, the solution might not be to make it harder for characters to get in.
i'll just say this. the game is a lot easier when you know exactly what mobprogs do what, and where the preps are that will allow you to kill mobs that no other player in the game could, and when something happens like the destructor dents your anazu, weakening it, you can declare it a bug and change it so he no longer dents, or make the archmage blackfire nova. FWIW, there is a prep in ST that wasn't always there AFAIK that is basically the perfect prep for getting regens at rank 40 with a fire AP. just saying.
