Ha, I knew that tactic would work when I thought about it with Vergat. You're always going to get beaten in
the arena because there's nowhere to run, and the thief can just keep knifing. Out in the open it'd be more
of a problem, but I figured out some stuff to make people eat that would really stop them running far as well.
If I wasn't such a chump I'd have tried i
Hey,
This is just a general question going out to anyone who has half a clue about orcs.
I was wondering mainly which is a cool adapt to take, and one or two reasons
why, if possible.
Thanks,

I never thought a 'who evil' command should be built in, but I suppose having the who group detect out
evils would be just as bad.
Come to think of it, it would encourage more black and white PK and less RP interaction.
Probably better not to have after all.
-Q
Hey,
On a mud I used to play, if you were evil and typed 'who group', people in your group range who were good aligned
would not show up. Similarly, if you were good and you typed 'who group', evil aligned players would not show, even
if they were in your group range.
I was wondering if anyone thought this might be a good idea for CF? I just mention it because a few ti
Hey,
I come from a mud where these kind of things have to receive Immortal judgement before you can progress
far in ranks.
Do you need to get your role approved by an Imm, or do you just write one?

Hey,
I deleted Vergat today, after I got the "Hoarding equipment isn't nice" message, and realized I hadn't really been logging him
in with any purpose lately I chose to call it quits.
Vergat was my second ever character, and my second one at Hero. I put a fair amount of work into the character's role
and general RP, and it was a very fun role to play - though I&
Heya,
I was just wondering about the less common terrains that rangers can choose as their home ground. Some of them, like mariner and bedouin seem like they'd be really cool from an RP perspective, but in reality they also seem a bit like you'd be gimping yourself by limiting your strengths to some relatively uncommon terrains, compared to something like forester or mountaineer.
Hey,
I know that anti-paladins need to be able to PK a lot to get good unholy weapons. I also guess that they need to
be able to avoid death quite well in order to keep those weapons.
Does this mean that they're primarily a class that's only advisable for good PKers? Or can they be workable for
newer players as well?
I don't think it's that much of a big deal. The rewards aren't usually groin-grabbingly awesome, and they
certainly don't beef up a character to the extent that it would make them more powerful than the class
allows. They usually just give the player a cool little quirk, and the realization that they've done well at
something.
I think that if someone's sat down
Hey,
I was wondering what the general consensus on Utility Majors is. I've recently made one, and when I tell
people my choice of foci (utility major/air minor) they all hum and hah and say I'm going to be fairly useless
in any kind of PK situation.
I don't really know, because this is my first shifter and only third character in total, so I was hoping to get
some feedback
How do you rig your client to show your damage in yellow and the enemy's damage in red?
That's how it used to work on my old mud, but here I haven't been able to do it.
Hoy,
You helped out my newb ranger a lot, pointed out where things were and how to get to places I needed to go.
Sorry to hear you deleted, but good luck with your next character.

Since I'm a ranger I can hide from most people if I don't think I can beat them. My main problem is having the
patience and area knowledge to find people where I'll be able to battle them effectively, or where I can learn
their patterns without getting seen.
It's not my first character, I am still raking my first and am nearly at 51. It's a ranger.
I was just wondering a bit about how steep the learning curve would be, because in
my experience (from hunting with orcs to just talking to them), everyone is trying to
kill them nearly all the time.
I'm not new to mudding in general, but I am new to CF. The mud I'm from is simila
Hey,
I was just wondering what people thought about orcs in general? I'm new here, and the race/class is very interesting
to me, but I also know that orcs are usually hated by just about everyone and can be very tough for a new player to
manage.
Are they at all feasible for newer players, or too tricky?
Thanks,
-Q
Hey,
Where've you been lately, still moving? I've been wondering where my old ranking and
exploring partner has been. Bolg has been saying he can't be beaten again ... I mean,
come on.
