I'd call that a pretty nasty drawback. Stuff like that happens _all_ the time.
Fact is, they aren't coordinating with each other and often hamper each other as much as they help.
Meaaaaaaanwhile, there's orderly imperials holding hands with a cloud giant healer and chaotic orc pillage and rape kinda guy (I assume he hasn't taken the bloodoath).
The unholy trinity (for
He can parry/dodge/whatever the earth elemental smackdown, but the devil's chucking out shit like this through rager resist:
A lesser ice devil has arrived.
A lesser ice devil gestures at you, uttering blasphemies.
A lesser ice devil's acid blast === OBLITERATES === you!
That really did HURT!
I'd take extra hits from that earth elemental anyday over the devil. The conjie i
however, if and when you somehow manage to get to hero, without a doubt one of the most irritating and time consuming parts of the game involve you getting full looted by some guy you won't ever be able to touch. This is one of the annoyances shared by everyone, newbie or vet, who bothers getting to hero, except maybe a few characters who NEVER DIE anymore.
Its people like that who make m
Clearly, this shows exactly that you SHOULD have stayed, since you were right and he was going down. It also shows empire is not a giant conspiracy designed entirely to piss you off. Your own fault for deleting with an OOC tantrum.
If it helps, I suggest planning your character from reverse. What are your goals? Who is your god and what cabal are you joining? If you are going outlander and planning to try for tattoo + leader position, I suggest picking an active imm to follow, maybe even an outlander one (Lyristeon, maybe?). Then check his helpfiles, get a feel for his religion, and start on a role about why you would follo
Some shifter forms are also designed for this, they can move with virtually no lag through a lot of terrain. There are also other skills and powers like windwalk which also reduce movement lag.
It also helps to have a very strong idea of your terrain and possible fleeing positions. If you are in a room with only one exit, I know exactly where I'm going to be after I flee, and I know exact
murder is not three rounds of lag, and gets you multiple attacks. It is almost always a superior option to bite. An alligator using murder will hit 2-3 times a try. Even if you always managed to successfully flee before the next round of battle hit, thats still 2 oblits you gotta heal off. Then, there's also the fact that you gotta engage Lezra in order to spore/thornheart. I'm just not
That is one terrible bard.
If he doesn't have fiend, I guess he wouldn't be too hot at killing the healer, but he has echoes, so he can at least sleep the healer and distort/dirge/whatever him.
When people pk me and then loot/sac my crap, then I can get really irritated, though. PK is part of the game, however, unnecessary sacrifice and looting is just an asshole move.
I do feel really sorry for those newbies who get multi-killed by unsportsmanlike pkers looking to pad their ratio, though. When certain chars log on and I see a bunch of obviously new players in my range turn into a gh
I see zero ways he could win here. Which is pretty sad, actually, considering the Jaguar is supposed to be an offensive form, just like the gator. Even if he had a different (less underpowered) form, is there any single offensive form which can stand one on one against that gator?
From his corpse, it looks like he had full a/b/s. That is just ridiculous. Why is one offensive form's normal hits doing more damage through a/b/s than another offensive form's AMBUSH? Jeez.
more than 2 people in a fight = your enemy is never permalagged. He got off several commands this fight, even though everyone was bashing/tripping/cranialling/kicking him.
And I'm sure you've noted the 1.8k hp in his prompt, behind a/b/s? Yes, I thought you'd notice it. Many of the people fighting him were hasted, as well.
There was no point in this fight he could not have go
He didn't take that risk, his eq forced him to take it. Before he was paralyzed by his equipment, he still had enough hp to last several rounds with a/b/s. You'll also noticed that he just soloed four of us. Four. And we're all pretty prepped and capable of putting out a shitton of damage.
That being said, you are a beast, Waris. But you aren't a terribly risky one. Not tha
I found flail/mace on my dwarf to be okay, but nothing special. Don't expect to have anything in the way of defense, if you do choose that.
I had space between heartbeats on my duergar warrior, Morior, and it was zero kinds of spectacular. Sure, it fired off every once in awhile and hurt someone a little extra, but it NEVER made a really decisive difference in a fight, one that say, greet
