Imho depends on the cabal greatly and your current set of enemies. Heck even something as bland as chilling might make sense if you're drumming all the time.
But any hero nonshifter will do. As for warrior, something bashy, like cloud with greeting. Prolly sword to outtank while bashing. Add your fav spec and legacy, I'd go with mace and chilling or cry. Idea is outdam and lag, good against vilagers and paladins.
I did not find getting in overly hard. Somewhat comparable to getting maran, probably a bit easier though. You just have to work to get it. And it didn't seem as longetivity driven as maranation. Powers are actually nothing special. Regual member's walker is like a merc most of the time, certainly weaker than enslave fo example. And despoil items are not that good before heroish times,
Just fyi, was empowered and bumped np on two chars with spheres that fit role but were not covered. If you give it a go, pray to imaginary deity from appropriate place and rank slowly. Took like 20 hours of game time. My suspicion is Raybear since she's on all the time.
Sure, bash the paladin down as much as you'd like. BUT NOT WITH A MAGE IN THE ROOM!!!
You might easily get away with actively pursuing the paladin instead of the air shifter since it's next to impossible to find and surprise the latter, but not when they're in the same room. You might also easily get away with breaking parity if you attacked the mage in this situation (although I
If you just ignore the goodie mages, you'll be fine. By ignoring I also include giving verbal warnings if you are ever in the same room, a situation you actively need to avoid in the first place. If, after verbal warning, he doesn't leave, you are in the clear doing murder and no lag. Just don't be Baer follower. If he chooses to die, express remorse, but you should be fine. Condie
Gearing doesn't matter much. You can kill people in ragesteel with village weapons. Sure it does matter if you want to have a chance against tough scions and such but won't matter for majority of the fights. Cover str/dex so you don't srop things and you're set.
Go berserker warrior, probably giant as it will give you more autopilot scenarios. Sword is obvious and will be goo
Nah, goodie villager can still kill goodie mages. BUT you have to feel remorse and not pursue them actively. For example, orc fights goodie on eastern, you don't pick on the mage. Orc fled and now you give a fair warning like 'leave you fool.' If the goodie mage does not, it's fair game. If he strikes you, even better. But if he rp's back, you have to go with the flow and
Nexus has to fight ragers. As a newbie, that's not advisable imho. Fort is also very easy to get into, and for an acolyte path doesn't even require anything. For squire, you only need to kill one evil guy. Not sure that can be waived and you're somewhat expected to sort of pursue evil. Not necessarily be good at it, mind you. But the upsides are huge:
1) Easy ranking, especially
Depends on a skill. Misdirect for example you can just spam up in ranking. Flurry or underhand you'd need to spam up. Just go through areas. For example charge set and owlbears go together.
I mean the pm in the States is like six or seven of them at hero. I understand the pendulum but even fort had like four at a time in their prime. And you didn't have to worry about fort if not evil. Current death machine will kill all but half the fort.
If you're looking for PvE and not dying in PvP ever, drow cave explorer is your char pick. You can pretty much go anywhere wild with impunity. After around 40sh you can solo the storms to hero. Probably starting at 35 with a group. No mob in the wilds is touching your balls while you're doing your shit, which is a bit lacking, admittedly. And no, you won't kill anyone non-newbie wi
I've been her follower once, and let me tell you, she's bitch-slapped me more than I've ever been bitch-slapped over my long CF career by all the other imms combined. Which adds to her being great. :)
It's only annoying when you run out of seaweed (probably once since you'll stock up when it happens and will pay attention for the rest of char's life).
What's more annoying, at least to me, is that you can't crawl.
Shaman is particularly well-suited to that. Early sanc helps to live and poison/plague/weaken just kill any low-midlevel rager. Add fatigue on top of plague and it will be very challenging for them to win. It should be fairly easy to get them to 0 moves with plague and fatigue. Don't forget your invis potions for the applicants before 25. Any race will do, but I'd suggest duergar just
Idea is to run run in with a shield/dagger, make them bleed, run out, heal in two ticks to your full 1500+ hp, run back in and doublethrust them to death, running in and out as necessary. For the second legacy, I'd pick soul. You do want to maximize your time "inside" and if you're not awesome in your gates knowledge, soul would give the best mileage imho. Plus there's so
If you're terrible at PK, be a support class that no one can kill. A healer or a transmuter won't die unless you choose to go into risky situations. Of course, this is going for age death. For con death mode, pick something fun for you personally to play. I'd suggest an assassin since sometimes a pk will just fall into your lap if you have hide. For bonus points, try to get into ba
You know, a thug thief at hero can kill plenty due to:
1) Surprise, as always, jack/backstab-corpse, the usual, sometimes just backstab with a vuln weapon
2) People forget to fly and you can get them to stop flying, you know
3) Simply having a wide range, much wider than 42 for example
4) Easier access to dr for when you anticipate you'd have to slug it out. People generally would rath
But very unique and role-appropriate. A very niche edge not otherwise available to the build. I found a blank scroll with a lowbie. Spent like 20 minutes and lucked into it. Frankly am very glad something like this happens. In Baer's place I'd probably give up and go skiing. Kudos to making the game fun for us.
To make sure he doesn't outdamage, pick spec he doesn't know(axe), but even swords are good enough. For bonus points, be neutral and non-battle so that resize doesn't work.
Obviously with a no-disarm exotic. Gate/PWK, Gate/PWK, Gate/PWK. Boring as hell, but soon enough everyone will quit out. Imagine an empty hero range. :) Except for one paladin in Baer's shrine, one in Galadon guild, and one at the watcher.
