See my above post. These cabals have been working together in ways they should not. Its completely dishonest. It makes people quit the game. I am sure they both just bounced. After all, I am sure they were both waaaaaaaaaaay to injured after that tough duel with the drow AP to keep fighting.
There isn't any RP. Fortlander has been Fortlander for a long time. I tried to talk about this earlier when there was some Fort / Village interaction that looked very odd to an outsider. Now we see again a light and a dark player both working together to kill one guy. The 1-A bullcrap excuse I got last time I brought this up was something on the order of "well its all right for villager
Heard a rumor someone walked into the Shadow Lord and got put down. It happens. Then, for whatever reason, that same character came back to the same area where SL was trying to get certain things together (trappers needs traps or he was golding).
If you went somewhere and got smoked go somewhere else. I hope you don't give up based on that. The learning curve here is terribly steep but a
as a necromancer what could have been done differently in this log? I assumed that even if I had all rescue be I was still going to get bearcharged. Any advice is more than welcome. Kliz and I had some good fights at the Captain too but I escaped before he could kill me!
On my current mage character my first barrier was in the high Lord'e keep and the second was in the siege encampment. I had NO barrier until well above rank 40 and I had to bring friends to get the one in the siege encampment. I struggle getting my barrier wands frequently as an AP. I know that luck is a factor, because some barriers are easy to get. But some are exceedingly difficult.
You showed good courage in counterraiding against the Spire. Sometimes it was just you and me but I have seen you come against superior odds too. Classy in the shadowed grove. I was hoping to kill you to get tarnished faith back. As a general rule I don't hunt rangers in the woods because I am not stupid. I was actually going to try to kill what you were trying to kill there. So in general w
The difference between 200+ players and now is that when it was "old cf" and you got fulled you knew it wasn't going to be 5 minutes before you saw someone else to full loot whether you had killed them or not! Cabal wars were constant. If you got killed you stood outside a cabal for 5 minutes and sure enough there would be some lootage to be had. Same with the Eastern Road. Now ins
What is the village there for? What do they do? Their job and calling in life is to kill mages. That is it. That is what they do. So the idea of any mage running to the defense of the village seems preposterous to me. You are suggesting that Yanni is so bound and determined to kill Glik she is going to save Zah and keep the head of the archmage in the Village? How is that sensible? Would she not
You are correct that there is no actual evidence than anyone other than an imm or an Imperial shadow who was in the right place at the right time could produce that would show factually that there was some sort of in game or out of game communication showing this collusion. However, I will offer you the idea that this is the most likely scenario.
1. Thera is huge and you are looking for one gu
I agree that quicksand is a bitch kitty. I also see what you're saying about the logs, because I read them too. I think that the impression is skewed a little because of the people that are currently active in Fort. They have two level 51 invokers. That's what they're gonna do. Unless they are inside where you get double nova. The same holds true with the Spire right now when both
Great job by the mage to put down the quicksand in the village. It is good to see the Village working with mages. When I suggested a while ago that maybe reducing the number of cabals would lead to more cabal wars a few people indicated that limiting character options limits builds and choices on how you play your character and what it is. But when I see logs like this or repeated logs where peop
The only real problem with nexus was that their best power required two players to be on at the same time with one magi and one not magi. with the limited numbers we have sometimes there were many times playing nexus where it was two mages (or non) or only one playing in the cabal at a given time. That is what really bothered me.
I have been playing so long I played with Istendil when he was dreadlord and then emperor. He mentioned in his goodbyes about level one characters rolling up to him and talking shit. He said this was so unrealistic from a roleplay stand point because a hero level lich is so scary that people in their range should be cautious and wary (at the least) and so how would a level 1 anything approach a l
What is the best way to get to my pm's without having to search around for my most recent post, clicking on the post, them clicking the "pm" next to my name?
Am I just a luddite?
I interacted with him in character with a prior character of mine. I have a question for him but my current character has never met him and would have no knowledge of him. I do not want to get anyone punished, but I would not know how else to go about the whole thing IC without a complete breach with the current character, ya know? Would he get punished for a question about a non quest item?
Hey do you have the 2 Marzzett fights with deaths? There was the one where I struck you with the emperor and another on eastern road where we finally got you. Then there was the one where you got me in the sewers. We had 3 or four others. Most of the time I ran away. I think once you did when I actually managed to sleep you somehow. I had another with me that time too, though. Thanks!
I think we can almost all agree and I would say your points are all very valid. What we are kind of doing is looking at possible ways to get the playerbase back up. I would love to see +20 people back on at all times. Not only that, I would love to have some freaking newbies on that I have a chance to kill instead of getting smacked down by Glik or Bakr or Undar or half a dozen others.
What w
Let me set this up...
1. Someone mentioned that new things on the game will keep people interested and (hopefully) draw new people in. Although in fairness someone said new isn't necessarily better.
2. I mentioned and a few people who frequently post good stuff on here mentioned that they have been denied the heroimm. No one has said why. But I feel like those people probably have the
Wow that is odd. I don't know what the staff looks for in adding new people. I don't know how they try out or what they have you do. I know that if being deathful is part of the equation then I am definitely out. I pretty much just know I want to help out if I can and see if we can find a way to up the playerbase. I mentioned in a previous post cutting the number of cabals to increase c
