Mace has a better selection of non-physical attack type weapons. Low-mid ranks, backhand with mithril warhammers or copper prods destroys those pesky dark-elves and arials that just dodge everything else.

Using forgecraft when it can't succeeed (not at a forge, on a wooden weapon, etc.) will allow for improving, and the timer will not kick in until you fail.
3x peak is a good rough estimate, so that would put it around 120-30 players that play three times or more per week with another 30-40 or so that play regularly but less frequently.
