I rolled a character and played a bit, but I guess the whole more experience in groups thing is still there, despite there being no one to group with. The grinding no longer seems worth it to me. They were running 100% exp last night and I gained maybe two levels. Sort of depressing in a nostalgic way for the old days of total chaos.

I bet there are some artists on Dioxide's that'll give you a hand. I seem to recall a huge portion of the player base is creatively talented as well as adept at programming. I'd help but I'm clueless.
I just played through until my character reached level 10. Then, every time I would find the stairs and climb them, the map would procedurally generate, but all the enemies were dead, so I couldn't progress further. I think this was around level 5 of the dungeon. Really easy at this point, can just spam potions during combat and it doesn't seem to take a round of combat to do so. Also,

And if you are forced to age, exercise or take HGH and Testosterone, so that you will look 40 at 70 and probably die of an MI at 43. Still, something which is meaningless is also meaningful, if its uselessness gets you through the endless incarnations you are forced to endure.
I see how the combat system works, now, and I have to say, I'm getting drawn in. It does hearken back to the days of old, to use the worst cliche I can imagine. Seriously, though, I'm having a good time. Plenty of lore to get caught up in, fairly deep story with nice NPC interaction. Haven't seen much party bickering, yet, and uncertain how it will be working with the idea of "
Okay, feel slightly better - and worse - now. Backed this thing 3 years ago. I'll reserve judgement. Right now, I gave up on an early temple and ranked up a bit first. We'll see.
