Mistborn Trilogy is pretty fantastic.
The Monster Hunters series is also fantastic.
Malazan is terrible. Cruppa needs to walk off a cliff. Don't listen to kanye.
The Ravens Shadow series is pretty good. 2 books so far. Bloodsong and Tower Lord.
The Lies of Locke Lamora might be one of the best books you'll ever read. 3 books in this series so far.

When you die, your things no longer belong to you. So the paladin isn't
really looting anything. He is merely picking up his property. Why would
a paladin share his food with an enemy?
People need to understand that if they die, they lose their gear.
Its really that simple.
If you die, your gear no longer belongs to you.
If you don't want to be looted. Don't die.
