Ok.
Everyone can be a paladin if they wish to.
Not everyone can be a lich if they wish to.
Basically it sounds like you want your paladin
to be a no effort super char who can take on
the "elite" quest given character by spamming
wrath or some such crap.
That does not make sense to me.

But sadly, myself included, nobody has been able to role-play a paladin with the dedication and substance needed to be especially blessed by the Gods.
